Why You Should FedEx to Expired Listing Prospects

Last summer, Realtor Matt attended a Metamorphosis Workshop where he learned that in order to be successful with expired listing prospects, you have to do something different than everybody else. Using the new work habits he developed in the MET Workshop, he proceeded to follow the outline given in class and delivered a FedEx packet to the Smith residence. The Smith’s listing had just expired that morning.

Realtor Matt also left phone messages for the Smiths that morning but heard nothing.

The second week, Realtor Matt continued to follow the Plan and delivered another FedEx packet to the Smiths. This went on for two more weeks with two more FedEx deliveries, and still Realtor Matt heard nothing.

Busy with other projects, Realtor Matt was unable to prepare additional information for the FedEx parcels, but still made an effort to communicate with the Smiths by telephone and US Mail every couple of weeks. Last week Realtor Matt got a telephone call; it was from Mr. Smith, who was impressed by Realtor Matt’s perseverance and the multiple FedEx deliveries he’d gotten from Realtor Matt. Six months ago he decided not to renew his listing, but realizing, from the information Realtor Matt delivered, that the market is not likely to bounce back, Mr. Smith decided to list with Realtor Matt. He’d grown tired of waiting.

Realtor Matt’s diligence paid off. But wait!! There’s more to the story. It turns out Mr. Smith loves investing in Real Estate and had 7 other local properties – none of which had a mortgage! Additionally, he listed 2 other properties with Realtor Matt. Not bad, right?? But wait!! There’s still more!! Still loving real estate, Mr. Smith decided to also buy a condo Realtor Matt had listed – for cash with a fast closing. Realtor Matt had both sides of this transaction.

3 listings, a double-sided sale, and 4 more possible listings in the near future – all from following the proven program Realtor Matt learned in a Metamorphosis Workshop. Isn’t it funny how things work out when you follow a proven program?

This is an absolutely true story.
