Success Without Planning and Tracking…NOT!
For several years we’ve been preaching to agents how important it is to Track and Plan priority activities (or what we call: 20%er’s). For many agents documenting what just happened (Daily Recap), and what is most important for the coming day (Daily Planning), is a real struggle.
Why do Tracking and Planning create so much agony when they take just a couple of minutes every day? There are 2 reasons:
- It’s not a habit yet.
- It removes all the excuses we give ourselves for not doing what we know we should do. (Unfortunately, you can keep misleading yourself into not being accountable for your own failure.)
Use Fear Motivation to create this highly productive personal habit. Ask yourself a similar question to the one that you use with buyers and sellers; “If I could completely change my life for the better for both myself and my family, and be much more successful and much happier by tracking and planning, shouldn’t I use Spaced Repetition to track and plan 20% activities in writing until doing so becomes a habit?
Recently, we analyzed data from all agents that we worked with during 2010. The correlation between agents who were doing daily tracking and their sales production and satisfaction with their Real Estate Business is absolute. The evidence is overwhelming. Not surprisingly, agents that did not track their top 20% daily activities didn’t feel the same way about their business, nor were most of them satisfied with their income.
So why not give 2 minutes-a-day a try, as your new best habit for 2011? Just reply to this e-mail with your answers. We can assure that you will absolutely change your life!
